Therapy for
Relationship Challenges

Move through change and stay grounded.

Somewhere along the way, you lost your true Self.

I’m wound up too tight. I have parented my parent, and I now realize no one parented me.

I am worried about making sure everyone else is ok; I don’t even know how to feel my feelings. I care for everyone around me, and I’m so tired of it.

I want to be authentic, but I don’t know how to let out that true Self. I have lost the sense of myself and who I am. I feel like I am watching myself live my life through a screen.

My friends think we’re close, but they have no idea who I am.

Relationships can be spaces of growth.

Difficult relationship patterns get in the way of you being your authentic self. They can make you feel the need to prove yourself, and leave you with feelings of hurt and disappointment, or an inability to connect.

When we’re struggling to connect, we are often carrying the cycles from past relationships. It can be hard to know what’s wrong or why it’s happening. It’s not a car accident in the past, but a lifetime of relationships and experiences with a residual effect, which leaves you struggling.

You may fear engaging in ordinary experiences, have a vacant hole that never goes away, or be unable to feel like yourself.

Therapy helps you find your way.

In therapy, we will slowly and safely begin to pull on the strings that tie us to these formative relationships and experiences.

We will see how the patterns in these relationships and experiences led you to build a range of coping tools. These tools once worked to keep you safe, but they are not working anymore. These coping tools repeat themselves in your current relationships with friends, partners, co-workers, and family.

We will slowly build you a set of healthy tools that work for you. With this toolbox, you can know yourself, feel strong in your identity, and build balanced and supportive relationships, and experience your world as inviting and engaging.

Let’s work on a toolbox that helps you find your true Self.
